My toxic Splatoon trait is watching top JP players' vods, being all humble and appreciative when they win, but going 'GOOD, I'm GLAD you lost that, minus 100 points for you sicko' the moment they lose

While coaching people, I've noticed something I'll call the "Splatoon 3 compulsive map design syndrome", which is when someone always goes through mid no matter what, and only ever retreats on the objective line instead of going to the sides.
Use the sides of the map people!

Maybe Big Bubbler is overhated
I'm watching some area cup and honestly even junior is kinda hype to watch. Bubbler forces everyone to go forward and fight up close and personal, it's really fun as a spectator. I like watching junior ten times more than neo splash, that's for sure.
I don't like how good strikes is into it but that's a strikes problem, not bubbler. Guess I'll die on this hill

I'm having a strange splatoon existential crisis now. Do I want to return to it? Should I really try comp? Grinding the game?
It's hard to say, Splatoon's such a time intensive game and there's other things I want to invest myself into. I feel like it'd be so easy for me to do nothing else but play splatoon in my free time, but this isn't what I want.
I'll figure this out, just some thought I'm having
