Infestation in Inkopolis! IC

The closest kettle isn't the Boss Kettle this time. Instead, it's.... The Floating Garden. Make sure you don't accidentally fall through the grate.

Coral and Kelp become careful not to fall into the closest kettle, successfully bypassing it. They notice some Ride Rails leading to a lone kettle on a platform not reachable on land.

"If I know what DJ Octavio's Octarians do, they would definitely make it harder for us to reach our objective." Coral says, then suggests "Let's use this rail to that kettle."

The two Octolings used the Ride Rail to get to the kettle, the first thing they hear is a battle happening.

"Here!" Kelp immediately points out.

They go into the kettle in which the Octo Shower is supposedly in.

Nope. The kettle they entered is the Boss Kettle for the Octostomp. He seems confused as to why Octolings are here at his dome. Are they looking for something?

 

[Cephalobro]

"Hey, do you know where a smaller Octoling was taken to?" Coral asks the Octostomp.

 

[Splatoonlover1]

Octostomp seems to tilt his body a bit in confusion. He hasn't seen any Octarians in his dome, so he doesn't know where they are. They might be in the next sector of Octo Canyon, though.

Coral and Kelp superjump out of the dome and manage to make their way to the next swirling ink pool and superjump to the next sector.

"I hope this is it." Coral says.

Now they're finally at Slimeskin Garrison. Now, which kettle should they check first? Hope could still be in Octocommander Fortress, but they won't know until they look around first.

Coral and Kelp start their investigation, trying to listen for any potential battles taking place.

Meanwhile.... the Octo Shower hisses from its vents. It's getting impatient, and so are the Octocopters carrying it. Wish is also getting impatient, preparing a Shadow Ball. The Octo Shower fires some Octorpedoes, and they land on the floor just behind the glass, coating the floor in purple ink. This will slow down Coral and Kelp when they arrive, potentially allowing them to get hit by Wish's Shadow Ball attack, the Octocopters, and the Octo Shower's hand-crank.

Coral and Kelp manage to hear the sound of battle coming from the Octo Shower's dome.

"There!" Coral exclaims.

Coral and Kelp jump in, only to get stuck in the ink that the Octo Shower put down.

"What the?" Kelp says as she can't move her legs properly.

"This can't be happening!" Coral says as he tries moving his legs, but the ink isn't allowing him to move.

Wish fires the Shadow Ball, still under the influence of the Hypnoshades. The Octo Shower fires its hand-crank, hoping to get some hits in. The Octocopters fire, as well. How will Coral and Kelp attack everything back? Who knows if they brought their weapons?

Coral takes out his Octo Shot while Kelp takes out her Carbon Roller.

"We didn't want to do this, but you forced us." Coral says before firing his Octo Shot to get himself out of the Octo Shower's ink.

"Please forgive us." Kelp says as she uses her Carbon Roller to make a path of ink for her to escape to while also getting out of the Octo Shower's ink.

Coral then goes after the Hope/Wish Octoling.

"Stop! We're your friends!" Coral immediately says.

"Look out!" Kelp says before going into her octopus form and jumping from ink path to ink path.

Wish fires a Dark Pulse at Coral. It seems that the only way to snap him out of DJ Octavio's control is to knock off the Hypnoshades. The Octo Shower hesitates a bit, before attempting to snipe Kelp.

Coral barely dodged the Dark Pulse.

"I'm serious, stop!" Coral says before inking his way to Wish and lunging at him.

Meanwhile, Kelp runs behind a way for cover.

"There has to be a way to convince these Octarians to stop attacking." she tells herself before gasping. "I know! If I take the Octocopters's helmets off, I can try to convince both them and the Octo Shower to stop attacking!"

The Octocopters won't let that happen so easily, as they fire on Kelp. Wish is still hypnotized, firing a Shadow Ball. The Hypnoshades haven't come off quite yet. The Octo Shower fires its hand-crank at Coral, trying to get him away from Wish.

Kelp manages to dodge the slow ink shots being fired at her and catches one of the Octocopters, taking off its helmet and setting the living tentacle on the ground while destroying the helmet itself.

While that happens, Coral manages to dodge many shots coming from both directions, but gets hit by Wish's Shadow Ball.

"Aah!" Coral screams, but rather than giving up, he calls the bicycle group, "Hey, we found the kettle, meet us here asap!"

Coral painfully gets up and resumes making his way to Wish.
