One day, Lof was practicing fighting on some test dummies and was found by Neo and got invited to the group because of the potential he had.

History: He was raised on an alpaca farm somewhere in the Andes and had his best friend Paca. They were the best of friends and Alpaca cared for Paca every minute of the day. However, the Octarions managed to find them on this secluded farm and took Paca hostage. Every since this occurred, Alpaca vowed to find Paca and uses his trusty Aerospray RG to rise up the ranks and eventually help all the inklings fight against the Octolings.

I would like to join this team and fight alongside you guys :D I believe it will be an awesome experience to hang out with the squad! Also if you are wondering, I just love Alpacas :p

Personality: Deux has a tri personality disorder where it can be only triggered by a siren light (basically, every Splatfest vote he made.) He is mostly a lone wolf since no one talks to him, that's because he believes that he can only talk when he's spoken to. In Splatfest, when voting for Callie his name is Sinistra, the Pure Criminal; and if he chooses Marie's side, he's Destra, the Rebellious Angel. Sinistra is a gentleman but very snarky, while Destra is kind but he doesn't care about the rules. Of course, he reverts back to his daily self when Splatfest is over.

History: Deux is the adopted son of Calvin Calmar and Patrick Dix and they are huge fans of Splatfest and constant regulars at the Cuttle Pub located next to the Inkopolis Tower. There's not much about his life Deux knows about, all he knows is the constant love of his parents and her Aunt Zenobia. He vows to be the strongest Inkling known to Squid-kind and to bring peace to the Inklings and the Octarians. His meanings for this goal is unknown to anyone, maybe you need to ask him about it.

Backstory: Growing up in Inkopolis, the thought of battle has always intrigued him. Although he had never taken part in it, he would spend hours every day studying strategies and making his own. When he finally felt ready he went into his first match of Turf War, but he couldn't use his strategies like he planned since he couldn't communicate with his teammates. He decided to stop playing altogether and search for a team where he could put his strategies to use and grow stronger.

Welcome to Inkopolis Underground! We are a squad of fellow Inklings who are there not to become "another face in the crowd." We are a competitive squad that always strives to improve, to become better in every way. At the same time, we also balance the fun factor and kick back and enjoy Splatoon for what it is.

About Inkopolis Underground

Now, I'm sure some of you may be wondering why I said it is "unique" . Well here's why:

This will be a combo of Competitive Gaming and Role-Playing!

That's right! We will be a casual and competitive squad where every member's inkling has an identity and backstory! In this way, every member has a distinct face to the group and will develop a personality for themselves. Even the squad itself has one!

In the backstreets and alleyways of Inkopolis, there lives a gang of Inklings that secretly congregate under the depths of the shadows. They dwell in a backlot 3 blocks away from the Booyah Base, which is called "The Squidhole". Each member has their own reasons for joining, and their own story to tell. Be it respect for the leader, necessity, desire for street life, or other reasons, they are all led by the 16-year-old Inkling Neo, an Inkling born and raised on the streets of Inkopolis, succeeding as the leader after the former leader left the turf wars for unknown reasons.

Now for the fun part! Each member gives their inkling a name and backstory. The backstory and character are very freestyle and gives plenty of room for creativity. It can explain why they use the weapons they use, why they do a certain strategy, or simply be for fun!

Inkopolis Underground Rules

1. No explicit sexual content, or anything of the sort. We want this group open to all ages. ;)

2. No insulting nicknames or putdowns. We want this to be fun for everyone!

3. Though we are part casual, don't get too laid back. We do aim to be competitive as well.

4. Skype is mandatory, so make sure you have an account. Most of our activity takes place on Skype.

5. Do not insult other members of the squad. It will only yield negative results.

6. Be active and willing to commit to the clan. Most of our activity is on Skype, but posting on our squad thread or group is also acceptable. We do want to make sure that the member slots are open for people who are willing to commit more time.

7. This is your only squad. It's not that we don't specifically want you to be in this clan only, but you can only be in one squad at a time, as stated per official rules of the squads.

8. Don't be a Negative Nellie. For example, if we lose a game, don't moan about our luck for ten minutes. Keeping a bright atmosphere is crucial for a successful clan.

History: When he first mastered his shapeshifting into a humanoid, he had burnt all his bridges by then. He had no schooling, despite being quite bright, and not money to afford decent gear. He was taken in by the then-leader of Inkopolis Underground, Squish "The Kraken King" and came to see him as an older brother. A year later, he gained the leader's trust enough to be chosen as his successor when he enlisted to fight the Octarians full time. He soon set to work gaining new recruits for the gang, and getting the old one's respect.

Leaders are the people in red, and are the people that run the clan. They oversee the development of the squad and manage the business of the community. They are the defining representatives of our squad.

Co-Leaders are the people in green, and are the people that assist leaders in running the clan. They manage the squad, group forums, members, Skype chat, and much more.

Members are the people that hold the squad together. They can participate in squad battles, tournaments, private battles, online matches, and so much more. They are the ones that keep our community alive and bursting with energy.

Splatter also is very optimistic and always looks to find a way out of a bad situation. Splatter is always in a good mood no matter what the situation. Her favorite foods are Pizza and ice-cream
History: Splatter was a normal happy inkling, until one day a group of boys she thought were her friends lured her into an alley and began punching her. An hour later she was found by her parents unconscious and when she woke up she didn't know who her parents were, worried they brought her to a doctor and the doctor told them she had amnesia. Not knowing what to do they abandoned her in the streets of inkopolis. She was adopted grew up normally and made lot's of friends. One day she received a package from a stranger containing a gun she didn't know what gun but she knew it was a gun. A few days later she met a man who owned a gun store and she told him the gun was an Aerospray RG. He brought her to a firing rage and let her try it out. She enjoyed it so much that she decided to try it out in a turf war. It was the best day of her life.

As a result a became a sort of protector of the weak. From this he understand that the Octarians had been affected as much as the Inklings in this war. Brock is a hard-headed and spirited squid that charges forth no matter how behind the team may be. He believes that a comeback is always possible until the time runs out. He can cooperate with his team but for the most part plays a solo-man approach often seen engaging 1v2s. Sometimes he get splatted the others not. "Nothing is impossible!" is his favorite quote and is his go-to phrase when encouraging his teammates. He loves to compete with players of the same skill as him to put up numbers though refrains from doing any taunting with the exception of squids that really get on his nerves. Rapid-fire weapons are his specialties but nothing is more precious to him than the Splattershot Jr which is his favorite. When he's in bed, he can be found scrubbing and cleaning his personal weapon. Studying is a difficult thing for him, but when he stands on the field the knowledge and his instincts just kick in which points him to the right direction. He may choose an option that he believes require little work, when even a baby inkling would tell you that option choice requires the most work. Jin's laziness is mostly overcome by his motivation for money, women, and helping his friends; otherwise, good luck trying to get him doing anything! He also has a talent for picking things up quickly and surprisingly enjoys teaching others.

History: In school, Jin was an average performer, however this was due to him being bored and lazy. One day he overheard a classmate talking about an underground group of kids...or squids near the Booyah Base. Jin decided to stalk one of the members and see what the group was all about. Unfortunately, Jin sucks at stealth.

As a result, the member being stalked knew they were being followed because they could distinctively hear the sound of chips being eating from the shadows. The member allowed Jin to continue stalking for a few minutes; however, it wasn't long before the annoying crunch sound of Firefin Potato Chips became too much. Slightly irritated, the member decided that they would turn the corner and ambush Jin.

The member thought "Once they turn this corner, I got this stalker! Then they will have to explain why they are following me!" Jin saw the member turn the corner and thought to himself "turning that corner is a lot of work." Jin activated a device on his wrist which allowed him to see a small digital map of his surroundings. The device also allowed him to see the member he was stalking. Jin noticed the member was not moving anymore.

"They must be at their base now!" Jin thought. So naturally, Jin decided to take the option that he perceived to require the least amount of work. He turned into a squid, thought of the location he saw on his map, and Squid Jumped.

"Where is this creep!" The member wondered still waiting around the corner. Suddenly, the sound of crunching chips coming closer to the member from above, caused the member to look up.

Making a (=_=) face, the Member only had one thing to say.

"You've got to be kidding me."

Personality: Always having a pun at the ready, Frito brings fun and levity in and out of the battlefield. But don’t be deceived by his joking around, even though he’s all about having a splat-tastic time, he doesn’t squid around when it comes to trying to get his squad a win.

On the Field: Frito has a balanced style of approaching a match, usually following gut feeling and instinct. With the versatile Splattershot Pro he alternates between putting down ink in strategic places, supporting his squad mates and splatting his opponents.

History: Frito’s father worked at Camp Triggerfish, a place Frito came to view as his second home. He has many memories of visiting his dad at work, spending summers there with his classmates, but he will always remember witnessing the Turf Wars and Splat Zones matches as a young squid. Frito promised himself that when he had matured he would work his way up to be the freshest Inking to ever enter Inkopolis Tower.

On his 14th birthday Frito’s father gave him his first Splattershot Jr. Excited to start training to be the very best, Frito trained at Camp Triggerfish where he learned the art of switching between being a kid and being a squid, laying down ink and protecting turf. After a year of practice, training with different weapons, and competing in Splatfests he finally worked up the courage to join a real squad which led him to a fateful meetup with an inkling named Neo.

History: Growing up, Nova attended a school to learn how to fight on the battlefields, just like many other inklings from his hometown. He would receive high grades for all of his assignments, and be praised by everyone around him. However, Nova had never really put any effort into any of his assignments at school, and he just got the results without trying much. Despite his intelligence, he never found a use for it, and was lost as to what to do in his life, until he had stumbled upon turf wars. He had heard about turf wars before, but had no idea if they still existed. Fascinated by this discovery, he began traveling to neighboring cities in the hopes of finding a group of inklings that share the same goal, to be the strongest inklings in the world.

Personality: At first, you'd see her as a timid squid. It is only after you get to know her that you'll be able to see what a total dork she can be. Quirky and loyal, Hyperio is up for any task. Despite her happy personality, she is sensitive to playful insults and sarcasm. She does not pay enough attention to understand either.

Interests: Hyperio enjoys skateboarding of all things. She could do a million kickflips and grind the steepest railings without even trying. On her record is multiple offensive of vandalism via a spray can; Hyperio is a amatuer graffiti artist.

History: In the years following his fourteenth birthday, she wasn't exactly the most eager squid-kid to be involved in Turf-Wars. Once she got her first gun (More like, found it.), she became more interested. Hyperio learned to appreciate the competitive spirit of Turf Wars. The idea that it was just for fun was the best part, but then other Inklings began to play dirty. She depended on her integrity to beat the tar out of squids who didn't follow the rules, and that was her law. It became her job to enact inky justice on the battlefield. History: Experienced in combat and survival, York has spent his years in Inkopolis learning independence and conditioning his sleight of hand. This habituation had led to his distrust of most inklings outside his circle of misfits. Even in the heat of Turf War, he casts ethics and empathy aside for glory and hard cash, but undoubtedly appreciates those who fight valiantly by his side. Only the most impressive of the fold can dare to keep up with this hard-hearted scoundrel, but he still wishes anyone willing to compete to give their best!

Personality: The Panda kid, although he is very calm and optimistic, don’t be deceived, because he is very competitive. Panda is always trying to have fun with his friends no matter the situation, but he is also very thoughtful about his and his team action, because he always wants to win, but he also understand that he can’t win every time, and is always learning with his mistakes. He tries to pass that feeling to all his teammates too, by giving friendly words to try to calm them when they are stressed or frustrated, remembering than that this is all about having fun!

On the Field: The panda loves to help his teammates with support specials and subweapons. He prefers shooters with long range, like the jet squelcher and the dual squelcher(which has the awesome echolocator special) , but sometimes use weapons with a shorter range but with support specials, like the splattershot jr, which has the bubbler, a special that protects every teammate around him. He is trying to learn to be effective with the chargers, but he still is not very good with that class, but he hope to perfect it one day. But one thing is for sure, he is always thinking of his teammates when choosing a weapon, something that will support the team to victory!

History: When he was still a baby, the inkling was abandoned. Ending up in a shore near some mountains. He was all alone and very lonely, but he have hope, hope that he would find someone to be with him, that he will find his parents and discover why he was abandoned. When he learnt how to take the humanoid form he wanted to climb the mountains that he could see far away, he had hope to find someone there and learn where could be not only his parents, but others from his own species.

After getting used to his humanoid form, the nameless inkling went on a journey to the mountains. After much climb he was very tired, hungry and thirsty…and as he was about to faint he saw some black and white feet walking towards him, and then he closed his eyes. When we woke up he was on a hot spring, surrounded by pandas! He found people, he was so happy, he had never seen anyone in his entire life! The pandas liked him, and they took care of him. Gave him food and taught everything they knew about life. So the inkling grow up even more, become a strong willed and happy inkling, but there was something that still bothered him, his real parents, who were they? And his species? He knew he was not a panda, so what was him? He told his feeling to the pandas which told him that he was old enough to go to inkopolis, where the rest of his species are. There he could find more about himself. So he sad goodbye to the ones that took care of him for so long with a big panda hug! And then, at the sunset, he very sadly went way to his journey. As he was walking in the direction of the sunset, he waved his hands to the pandas, until he couldn’t see them anymore.

So, when he arrived at inkopolis he was very happy and hopeful. His eyes filled with awn from all the big building and all those inklings! He never saw others from his species before. He learnt about their traditions of fighting in turf war, and was intrigued. He figured, with he became good at this sport, maybe his parents would recognize him, and enter in contact. When training he wanted to fight using black or white colors on his ink, because that is what he was used too after all these years with the pandas, but it was against the rules. He was very sad since these were his favorite colors, but he understood. Since he had no name, after that story the inklings started calling him the Panda Kid. He liked it, so he kept that name.

So, after months training the Panda Kid got very good, however, one thing bothered him. He finally learnt the inkling language, but nobody would listen to him when in the turf, he would do stuff, tell strategies, everything in his mind worked perfectly, but the teams he participated in would never listen, and he knew he would never be good enough until he found a good team, so he finally found the inkopolis underground. He is hoping that he can finally enter in a good team, he wants to help his teammates so together they can always achieve victory and become some of the better players around!

So, inkopolis underground, it is up to you now! Help this inkling achieve his dream of become an top player together and finally find his parents!

But seriously now, talking as myself, I loved the idea of this group. Since the game was out I wanted someway to play with other people, communicate and make strategies, so my team could be the most efficient possible, and this is finally possible with the squad battles. And searching the internet I was happy to find groups like you guys. I really hope you accept me so I can do my best as a team!
And sorry with the story was too long, I ended up having fun writing it, hope you guys like it. Also, although I am from Brazil, I can speak english and write very well, and my clock is only 3 hours ahead compared to the PT time, so I think I will be able to play with you guys just fine. I am really looking forward to play using headsets through skype:D:D
