Flareth
Inkling Fleet Admiral
As a California native, I should be a big fan of all things sunny and beach-related, and think of snowy weather as some sort of nightmare. But it's the exact opposite for me. I can't stand the weather here. All day every day for damn near the whole year, nothing but sweltering heat, never enough shade to make up for it, and any breeze that comes by is just hot wind. It's miserable... and the lack of relief makes it all the worse. (I used to say we had no true seasons, only a wet and dry season, but for the last few years we haven't even had that.)
I don't know if I'm really the cold weather lover I think I am, or if it's just a reaction to putting up with nothing but sun for years on end, but I'd definitely feel at home in a blizzard. I'd just have to remember to stockpile some extra food before things get really hairy... plus there's something about such gloomy days that makes sparks an emotion in me that's somewhere between reflective and hopeful. (Poignant, I think is the word. The opposite of most others, I'd bet.)
So as much as @Award's description is supposed to evoke horror in our minds, to me it sounds like Heaven on Earth. I tell ya what, how's about we trade places when the snow hits next, yeah?
