Wuahhhhhh! Laura exclaimed as she flew through the air, caught off guard by her sudden airborne trajectory. Although somehow she managed to land in a safe roll rather than a crash landing—and hopped straight up to her feet—it was not without an ill effect of dizziness.

And with dizziness, came nausea… Unnnuh… Laura moaned. She felt like she might throw up any moment. It took a little while before she recovered and would begin to notice her surroundings.

Laura started to look around. A half-pipe? The arena had an uncanny similarity to Blackbelly Skatepark. But this line of thought was quickly interrupted when Laura realized something.

Raye was nowhere in sight.

Raye? she said in such desperation that could be sensed by anything in earshot.

Zale looked at the green inked area with a slight huff. "Guess Greenie is already getting started on something." he said while hopping down from the higher parts of the stage.

As he got down, he began to wonder why he and everyone elses color didn't change to signify that the fivesome were a team. Besides him and that pink girl, everyone else was at risk of friendly fire. Before Zale decided to do something he heard loud metallic screech and sounds that frightened hin for a moment.

Squidding up the grating the pinkette decided to try and see what made that noise, without being seen.

Laura walked around the halfpipe. As she saw that the floor was composed of a digital grid that lit up with each step, a slight trail of footsteps appeared behind her as she moved. As she walked towards the ramps and turns of the 'skatepark', finding that there was nothing over there.

It seemed as though Raye was nowhere to be found in that part, and Laura turned around to look up the overlook that was a great sniper perch for both Chargers and Splatlings. If the person was good at aiming, that is. There didn't seem to be anything -or anyone up there either. She huffed, as she realized that it seemed as though she was isolated from the rest of the Inklings in the arena.

Just then, to make matters worse, a loud screech echoed throughout the arena, ending with a synthesized, gravelly tone as something metallic clanged against the ground. At the edge of her vision, her helmet detected something and highlighted something big leaping from the top of a structure near the overlook, landing quietly before prowling down off of it, faintly hissing.

She saw many long, slender appendages from its back flick around as it crept out of her sight.

What now?

@MacSmitty
As Zale quietly plodded along, the Roller's mass had made it slightly difficult to properly sneak towards whatever had made that noise. However, he would manage it as he crept along the grating. He looked around the corner of the structure, Greenie's Ink was still there. albeit a line of Inky footsteps leading off away from it.

She must've been inside of the puddle and gone to investigate the noise. As was he, and Zale looked up for the thing that had made the noise, and he saw that looking over the spot where Greenie was, stood a large, hunched over thing, his helmet alerting him that it posed a potential threat. It bent down and crawled on all fours towards the puddle, robotic joints creaking and hissing as it went down to it.

And he saw that on its back were many long, slender tentacles flicking at the air. What spooked him about it the most, was when he focused on the tentacles. They were real, fleshy limbs. Although, they looked sickly and were seemingly rotted, the suckers running along them looked withered, but they waved around the air with a strength that seemed unnatural for such worn things.

It looked around, the robotic head held high in the air as if to smell it. Zale felt transfixed as he looked at the creature, watching it bend down and run its hand in the dark-green Ink.

What next?

(( It's picking up here. ))

When Raye landed, she had to take a few moments to regather herself after the rough landing. After checking herself for injuries, she tested her weapon, by firing a quick burst of ink at the nearest wall, and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw a patch of pink ink appear on it. Her next move was to examine her surroundings, looking for Laura, since they had not landed together. She was worried for her new friend, and hoped she'd be okay until they reunited. As Raye looked around, she kept a firm grip on her Mini Splatling.

Laura let out a stifled whimper. She was genuinely frightened by what she saw, more so as her imagination involuntarily tried its best to generate possibilities about it.

She cowered away slowly before diving behind the ramp up the central tower. There she sat with her arms wrapped around her folded knees, hiding from whatever that thing was.

Raye took a few moments to look around her in the hallway, seeing that the walls were the normal sterile white that the scientists all seem to enjoy, but the floor was a glowing grid, lighting up as she walked around. She looked behind her, seeing that the hallway led off somewhere, a bump in the ground meant that she had to climb over it to go there.

She moved towards that part of the hallway, but just then, a piercing howl ran through the arena as it ended with a synthesized gravelly tone followed by a loud mechanical clang, she had nearly jumped up in fright as a result. But as the thing roared, she heard something clattering on the metallic floor then someone spoke, as if they were helping another.

Raye pressed herself up against the hall's wall, sidling across it. She noted that one of the two overlooks in Blackbelly was to her right, but the source of the sound was more a pressing matter to her.

She glanced towards the central tower and saw two Bluenettes hopping down into the lower areas beneath the central tower. They were the two brothers, Raye thought as she remembered them. But then she saw the source of the screech, and it made her move slightly back behind the wall, readying herself in case she needed to run or shoot. Maybe both.

The creature in mention was large, but hunched over, crawling down on all fours down to a surprisingly huge Ink puddle. And she saw the source of all of it, there was the dark-greenette, huddled down behind a bump as a large silver roller lay on the ground beside her. Raye looked back at the creature, watching it run its hand through the Ink and then beginning to sniff the air.

Before long, however, one of the brothers made a noise and the creature's head immediately snapped to that direction. The dark-greenette girl quickly ducked her head back down, a scared expression on her face she frantically looked around on where to go that wouldn't have her get seen by the creature.

The creature slowly made its way towards the noise that had gotten its attention, and coincidentally towards the dark-greenette.

What to do now?

@Ikaheishi
As Laura sat there, she had, for a moment or two in her panic, failed to see that there were two boys hiding across from her. The younger one jumped up and immediately hefted his oversized roller threateningly, but the older brother immediately grabbed his arm and pulled it down. Quietly, she could hear him scolding his younger brother.

As he finished, looking up towards where the creature once was, as if it would suddenly poke its head up and look in the direction of the three. The younger brother glanced warily at her, before shifting his focus towards where the creature had come from before it wandered off, possibly in search of something.

In the distance, they could hear the creature's movements. Slow and mechanical as something hissed, as the clanging of it slowly approached.

What next?

(( Uh oh, looks like trouble's brewing! ))

It must have heard them… It's getting closer.” she thought to herself.

Laura glanced around for a moment and then began to crawl towards the central way to the base she had landed in, away from what had caught that… thing's attention. It was headed for those two boys, so she was very much in the very place she didn't want to be in right now. It was their fault for making some noise, and so it's their problem.

But then Laura froze up.

No. This wasn't right. They are in this mess too, and the whole group needed to work together. They're just as scared as she is. They don't deserve anything bad happening to them. But what could Laura possibly do?

She closed her eyes for a quick second and took a breath to try and calm herself. Still on her hands and knees, Laura looked at the two boys and beckoned them to follow her. Hopefully they would do so, and all three of them perhaps give that thing the slip.

Laura resumed her crawl, this time with the intent to head toward the other ramps and half-pipe.

Upon first seeing the creature, for lack of a better term, Raye immediately pushed herself against the wall and froze. What the hell are the Octarians doing with something like this? Raye thought to herself. Are they testing this thing to use as a weapon against Inkopolis?

Raye looked around more, hoping to see at least even a flash of Laura's light blue tentacles, but couldn't see anything. I need to do something... We'd work better in a group. Maybe try to fight that thing... Raye thought to herself. It looked like the "thing" was heading in the same direction as the green inkling, and towards the brothers. Taking a quick glance towards the green inkling, Raye realized that the distance was too great. Moving towards her would merely expose herself to the creature. She needed to get to the brothers who had first attracted the creature's attention, and do so in a way to avoid exposing herself to the creature's view. Moving back the way she came would provide somewhat decent cover from view, and would provide a safer way to reach the brothers. She turned around and started moving back the way she came.

Zale was shaken for a brief moment before shaking his fear away. Knowing for a fact that the Octoling researchers wouldn't pit him and the others against something that was impossible to beat calmed his nerves. I will NOT back away from this thing. The pink boy thought clenching his Carbon Roller Deco hard. I have to outsmart it, outrun it, and maybe play very dirty in regards to those tentacles...

Before he could take his next course of action, the thingamajig stopped moving from Zales sight and began to head to... the center? Zale scratched his head at the things action. I guess now would be a good time to analyze a place to attack that thing. The pink boy thought, taking in steady breath's. Though those tentacles will be a problem...

As the creature turned around its robotic body around, the tentacles trailing above it. Zale slowly inched out of his cover as it left his sight, attempting to view any weak points on the creature's body, because if he didn't, then pelting Ink off of metal wouldn't be effective if the weapons weren't high-powered.

But, as he looked at it, he saw that it wasn't completely robotic. The creature's head appeared to be a visor, meaning it had a head! Which made him think as how to knock it off or at the very least destroy it. He thought back to his roller, but it didn't seem to have the heft or the power that could do it.

His focus switched to the limbs, but both of which were heavily robotic and little flesh remained of them, which must've allowed it to freely interact with Greenie's Ink. The most fleshy thing he saw were the tentacles on the creature's back, trailing behind it as the creature headed towards whatever had gotten its attention. Zale thought to its torso, remembering to back when it stood on the higher platform that looked over Greenie's Ink pool.

It wasn't entirely covered, in fact, the plating resembled the torso of that weird fossil that was dug up, the dumb one with the small brain he remembered. The body had hardpoints, that he was sure, and it seemed to be protecting its body from attacks from melee, along with granting it the ability to let off pressure from within if someone had pierced its armor.

Before long, it was almost out of sight.

What next?

Zale had taken what he saw thoughtfully before going back to the place he hid. Well, the good news is, the thingamajig had some weakpoints, but it would take some heavy telegraphing and teamwork in order to beat it. Hopefully he and the others that landed here could manage to distract the thing long enough to expose a certain weak point to destroy it.

Alright! Time to find the others and turn this thing into scrap metal! Zale thought, slamming his fist into a hand softly before sliding down the half-pipe and heading off to the opposite way that he came.

Hunter crouched down, moving from cover to cover as he went to the source of the howl. He heard something else though, as though someone had dropped something heavy as someone else scolded them for dropping whatever it was. Someone else was nearby, and Hunter realized the person who spoke was one of the brothers he had heard earlier in the room.

However, he wasn't looking to regroup with them as he dropped down into an enclosure, what was top on his list of things to do was to find whatever made that howl.

As he went up aside a wall, slowly walking to the edge that led off into a hallway, he peeked around it. Which didn't yield much, as the end of the hallway had nothing across from it. And he walked into it, failing to see the pinknette behind him as he stepped around the wall and slid down the ramp. There wasn't as much cover in the section he had moved into, and he stopped for a moment to think about his next action.

Hunter was in the center of the arena now, underneath the tower, he glanced upward to the tower and he aimed his gun and fired a blue path up it. Turning a squid, he slipped into the patch of Ink at the bottom, someone screamed out and he heard running, quickly he went up the tower. He crouched down, moving to the ledge and what he saw wasn't the best of things to see.

It was the greenette, sprinting away at full speed making her seem to be a blur. Behind her, was a large creature that hunched over slightly as many tentacles from its back trailed behind it as the creature followed her. It moved smoothly but stayed behind her, almost as if it were toying with her, letting her think she was escaping.

Off to the side, he saw a small group of four and he turned to look at them. Three bluenettes and a single pinkette, gathered at the drop off point into a little slide and the lower position around the central tower, before long Hunter's view slowly went up and he saw another pinkette, the spiky hair kid he recalled.

Which meant that the green Inkling was alone and being chased by a monster, unless there were more subjects around elsewhere. But wherever they were, there they weren't.

What now?

@Ikaheishi @Devack
As Raye turned around, she heard someone scream, and she picked up the pace, running to the end of the hallway. If the monster was already there, then she'd have to hurry and save her. Turning the corner, she ran into the younger brother and sent the smaller, less athletic boy tumbling to the ground.

The older brother climbed up with the help of a familiar Inkling in a green hoodie, pulling him up before turning around to see what had happened. Laura looked at Raye and recognized her through the helmet, she smiled with relief. Happy she was reunited with her new friend, even if they were in the worst of circumstances, Laura asked where Raye was and she answered her, pointing to where the hallway she came from.

Beside them though, the older brother helped the smaller boy up to his feet. "You okay?" He asked.

The younger brother nodded, dusting himself off as he stood up. He picked up his roller, bringing it over his shoulder. He looked worriedly back to where the creature was coming from, and he spotted something and pointed it out to the group. "Look! You see em too, right?"

The subject in question was one of the subjects, the Greenette in particular. She was sprinting at full-speed away from something, dragging a giant silver roller behind her as she ran. Behind her was the creature, the tentacles flicking around in the air as it slowly and purposefully followed her. Because of its size, the creature was able to pursue her with relative ease.

The younger brother whimpered quietly, scared of the creature as the older bluenette pulled him back defensively.

What next?

@MacSmitty
Zale hopped down to the half-pipe, walking towards the small ramp that led off to the center of the arena. He heard someone scream, Greenie, he thought and he quickly ran towards the ramp, reaching it with his Roller held up like a baseball bat, he looked around. The tower had a streak of dark blue up it, leading up to the older, one-eyed bluenette. He became aware to the sound of rapid footsteps, almost like it was a Splatling firing, but with footsteps in place of the gunshots.

Zale looked down and he saw Greenie sprinting towards the ramp, towards him, with the creature following close behind her. She dragged a heavy, silver Roller behind her as she ran, while creature seemingly towered over her small stature. It would've been a comedic sight to see, had it not been a matter of life and possibly death.

The creature's head perked up a bit once it saw him though, and he heard it gurgle almost happily in response, the tentacles on its back had started to quickly flick around as it approached the two. It seemed to have become excited after it saw him, as it approached, Zale could hear the thing choke out some kind of words. But he didn't understand them as they were all muffled by the visor or were just unintelligible gurgling. However, it did seem to be talking.

Zale readjusted his grip on his roller, and it surprisingly folded up and the length of the paint roller was up against the shaft of it. Whatever mode he seemed to have engaged seemed to have made it more like a club rather than the paint

For now though, his only companions were Greenie, One-eyed Blue, and his OOPA. Which had recently fallen silent.

What to do?

Hunter was stranged unsettled by the creature that ran by. He sees Skeith appear next to him. "I dont know what that thing was. but it sure was ugly. Welp you tried man now lets get out of here." Hunter would look at skeith. "Were saving her!" Skeith sighs and dissapears. "Your funeral!" He then runs after the creature and readies a splat bomb. once he was close enough he throw it infront of the creature and hope it goes off on it.

[action: Fight]

side note to anyone noticing Hunter talking to skeith. they would hear both side of the conversation but Skeith's voice would have a very sinister blood curling tone to it.

Before Zale could give out any advice to Greenie and One Eye, One Eye say "We're saving her!" As if he was saying it to someone, and not himself before running towards the thingamajig, but not before Zale could hear a faint, "Your funeral!" From a someone who was not visible.

Watching One Eye start to attack the thingamajig, he sighs. "
Better help him out before something bad happens."

Zale then turned to the green Inkling who was still running away from the thingamajig and called out to her. "
Hey Greenie! Make sure you target the head, the back, and the torso!"

Quickly inking the walls of the center and squidding up them, he lands beside One Eye, readying his Carbon Roller Deco. "
I hope your up for this..." He states, glaring at the thingamajig.

The creature stopped in its tracks as the ground in front of it was coloured blue in a line, the cyclopean head turned and looked upwards at him. The shot did have its desired effects though, but now the creature was looking at him now as it stood back up on its legs. It hissed at him, or was it the robotic components hissing? The sound could've come from either source.

The creature let out a muffled snarl as it grabbed at the sides of the ramp leading up the tower, using its tentacles to aid itself as it climbed upward to Hunter. It started off fairly slow, before it stopped and launched up at Hunter. Surprising him, he fell backward as it fell down upon him.

It landed on the edge of the tower, lashing at Hunter with its many tentacles on its back in attempt to knock him off.

Zale readied himself as he prepared to swing at the creature's robotic head, charging the creature as it hung onto the top of the tower, tapping One Eye on the shoulder to keep him from engaging the creature. He ran at the creature, dodging its attacks as it retaliated.

With a shonen-esque warcry, he swung at the creature's head and hit it right across its robotic faceplate. It cried out in a high-pitched tone as it fell from the tower, the force of his blow sending it right off the tower.

It landed with a loud, metallic clang. However, it recovered quickly from the landing and climbed up onto one of the taller structures, hissing now. Realizing that it was it hissing, not its robotic components.

Greenie watched Zale run straight at the tower, and as he began his ascent, she followed him up the tower. However, she delayed her approach, giving him time to get up the tower. Greenie got up there just in time to see the creature be smacked off of the tower by, in her opinion, a screaming weeb.

As she saw the creature climb up onto a structure near the tower, she jumped up and looked at the creature, bringing her large Roller up, she sent a wave of green Ink at the creature. It brought up its arms to protect itself from the wave, she saw that her attack was pretty much worthless in terms of damage.

Hunter will take aim and fire at the creatures chest.
As Hunter looked through his scope, trying to aim at the creature's chest, but he couldn't get a decent shot that wouldn't have the shot just glance off, because of the fact it was on all fours. But now, he had a better target in the form of her head.

Creature used Wrap.
Greenie is stunned and unable to do their next turn!

Its wispy tentacles lunged at the trio, wrapping around Zale's and Greenie's rollers and yanked them both to the ground, before a larger tentacle lashed out and curled around Greenie. The creature lifted her into the air, constricting the greenette as the tentacle wrapped tighter around her body.

Hunter sees the creature lunge at them and he backs off. He sees that Zale and Greenie gets yanked and greenie get wrapped up. He would quickly takes aim at the trendrel while it still wrapping around him/her and shoot in an atempt to either release greenie or sever that limb clean off.

The creature yelped as the shot pierced the tentacle that approached Hunter, pulling the tentacle defensively backward and dropped Zale's Roller to the floor beneath the tower, however, it was still holding onto Greenie.

It hissed at them, pulling her towards itself as if to use her as a shield against any more retaliation.

Zale internally panicked once the thingamajig yanked his and Greenies Roller out of their hands, then Greenie was constricted by the tentacles of the creature. However, thanks to One Eye's successful shot, it did damage to the creature, and dropped Zale's Roller. Ushering a quick "Thanks." To One Eye, he jumped down the podium to reach for his roller so he could free Greenie and get her Roller back.

Zale grabbed his Roller, glad that there wasn't any severe damage from the fall. In fact, it seemed to be completely fine, aside from the tube that was attached to the OOPA. When he went to go reattach it, he noted that it much more loose than before. Hopefully that didn't mess with his combat.

However, as he climbed back up to rejoin combat. Zale saw that his Roller was still slowly humming, quickly, he brought up his OOPA and asked it about the condition of his Roller.

"Due to rapid removal, the Ink-Tube is currently damaged and I will need time to right this problem. Stay alive until then." It said, and he put down his Roller and got into a defensive stance.

Zale quickly eyed One Eye, noticing that his Ink Tank was low due to the shots he fired. Hearing his OOPA speak for the first time since they left the room about his current condition made him worry. Looking at the creature, the Pinkette saw that it was now using Greenie as a shield. "Playing pragmatic aren't we?" He muttered. Zale could take a huge gamble use Greenie as a way to hit the creature in a area that would force it to drop her, but that would a big risk that can backfire on him and her. So the spiky-haired pinkette played it safe by guarding.

The creature's tentacles tightened its grip on Greenie as it put pressure on her giant Roller, slightly warping the metal. It snarled at the two still standing on the center tower, before it lashed out at them with its tentacles.

Hunter took the full brunt of the assault, falling onto the ground after the strike, he could hear the metal of his helmet screech out as the creature's tentacles scratched against it. Meanwhile, Zale avoided the tendrils that attacked him, batting them away and dodging the ones he didn't manage to hit.

Hunter gets us and notices he is low on ink. "well squit!" Suddenly he starts to laugh. "I always wanted to hear you say that Hunter. Now its my turn!" Skeith takes over for this action. Skeith will turn into squid form and launch at the creature he would then shift in mid air and bash the but of the gun into the creature's glowing eye. "EAT THIS!"

As Hunter's possessed body on the creature's head, smashing his Splatterscope's rifle butt into the faceplate, finishing off the already-broken side of the helmet. He had missed his mark due to the creature's reactive dodging, however, Hunter still had broken off the helmet and caused some damage to the creature's face.

"Hey!" Greenie managed to say, despite the chokehold from all the tentacles. "Stop trying to..." She grunted, struggling to relieve some of the pressure on her body. "...play close with a Charger, in its own playing field."

Hunter's OOPA activated, "Operator of OOPA #257 is correct. Hunter, this foe appears to be very dangerous in terms of CQC. As it has many limbs in comparison to your ten, or eleven depending on who you ask."

The creature retreated backward a bit, lowering Greenie to the ground as it shook its head. The remaining half of the helmet broke off, falling onto the ground. As it looked back at Hunter, multiple tendrils drooping from where a mouth should've been, and he saw a pair of angry, bright-green eyes stare at him, as a dirty array of curly tentacles waved around slightly.

After defending against the creature's tentacle assault, Zale took a short breather while One Eye jumped to the creature and did a melee attack with the Splatterscope's butt. The creature, now distracted by One Eye's attack and Greenies words left Zale an opportunity to attack. This time, without yelling like a shonen hero, the Pinkette attacked the tentacle that was holding Greenie hostage.

4/5 Rolls managed to hit.

Creature's HP: 28/50
50% Ink left in OOPA

The Roller's Ink capabilities came back online, singeing the creature's arm as his roller impacted the tendril. It released its grip, dropping the girl back onto the ground out of breath, but alive. The creature had also let go of Greenie's weapon, letting the heavy roller land on the ground with a loud metallic clatter. She balanced herself with her Roller, still recovering from being both strangled and crushed.
Before Greenie could recover and attack, the creature turned around and ran away somewhere into the arena, perhaps to look for more lonesome prey or to recover from this failed attack.

Hunter sees the creature flee and his blood curling laugh starts again. "Whats wrong you freak! too afraid to show your face! I have to admit you were far uglyier than before i broke your stupid mask!" He punches himself. "Thats enough Skeith!" He chuckles. "Fine. but i dont needs your thanks." Hunter takes back full control. He shoots the ground and refills his inktank. "That thing is strong. Its going to take more than just us to take one down. and i fear more might be on the way considering how many of us are here."

Zale readied himself to defend another attack from the creature, it sorta surprised him to see the creature run off, possibly to hunt down the others. He would've run after the creature, but his Ink levels were getting low, as well as his the people near him, and he was a bit worn out for attack and defending himself from the tentacles.

Walking over to the only girl in the group, he helps Greenie up and was about to ask her if she was alright before he heard One Eye taunting the creature as it escaped.

Then, as if his personality shifted, One Eye yelled "That's enough Skeith!" Before voicing his concerns about the creature and starting to refill his Ink Tank.

Zale could only stare at the older boy before starting to refill his Ink Tank as well, asking, "Uh... Are you two alright?"

When Greenie heard Hunter talking to himself, she gave him a funny look, slowly raising one of her eyebrows as she looked at him. She looked away when he turned to them, sighing. However, she wasn't one to judge, considering the two boys had just saved her life from being crushed by tentacles.

"Winded, but alright." She replied to Zale, shaking some feeling back into her legs. "Thanks for the help you two."

"I'm Selena," the Greenette introduced herself, lifting up her Roller over her shoulders, she bowed slightly.

"And... your name is Skeith?" She quietly asked Hunter.

Hunter looks at Selena. "Its nice to meet you. my name is actually hunter...skeith is...a more touchy personality." He rubs the back of his neck and looks away remembering what Skeith did. "I try to keep him away but he just shows up at times. just be thankful he went after the robot this time. He isn't exactly a team player...more like a team killer" He mutters the last part to himself. He then looks over at Zale, "Good work there um?"

Zale merely nodded as the two Inklings introduced themselves. Glad that he didn't have to refer the two as "One Eye" and "Greenie" anymore, he introduced himself.

"I'm Zale Kai." He said rather softly while bowing the way his parents taught him too, unlike his boisterous manner earlier ago.

Laura stepped back slightly in response…

Something had flipped in her mind. She stood still for a moment, before taking a deep breath as slowly reached towards her back with her left hand, concentrating on the action before her. Her gaze almost piercing the monstrosity, she forgot about everything else around her. Laura's focus was so narrow and intense that it could only be rivaled by that a pro scoped E-Liter main.

Suddenly she thrust her hand quickly and sharply downward, with an instant clench before swinging back around with considerable speed!

But… Nothing more happened.

This wasn't a turf war. Laura didn't have her gear. There was no ink tank on her back, no burst bombs to fling into the enemy's face. She was here, in this area somewhere unknown to her—a laboratory of some kind apparently—and Laura was just a test subject in this dangerous game that somebody must consider an ‘experiment’.

Laura was frozen in a pose of just after the moment a burst bomb would have left her fingers any other day. The reality of the situation sank back in, as unpleasantly frustrating as they were. What are we going to do? she said as she returned to a normal standing state.

She looked back at the scene before her, hoping to think of something.

Raye nearly went into a mental panic attack upon seeing the creature. Just about the only thing that kept her from going into said attack was her promise to Laura, that they would both make it out of this together. She then remembered what she had told the bluenette earlier, about focusing on one person she wanted to see again. For Raye, that person was Sil. He'd been through a lot, but still found the strength to continue.

When we get out of this, I'm going to find him and tell him how I feel about him. Raye thought to herself as she focused on the creature.

After a few moments, she heard Laura ask her question.

"What we need to do to get out of this and survive." Raye answered, looking closer at the creature, and wondering, for what would be the first of many times, what else the Octarians had up their sleeves for them.

After Zale introduced himself, he sighed and crossed his arms. He, Hunter and Selena had managed to fend off the creature before it ran off, presumably hunting the other Inklings in the arena. But he and the others had to refill their Ink tanks, and he wasn't so sure about what to do now. He could talk to Hunter and Selena, but nothing at all came to his head, and it seemed inappropriate to hold a conversation while a homicidal creature was out loose.

"I hope those two girls can hold that creature off." He says rather distantly before something did come to his head. "Hey Selena. You mouthed the Octoling text off that wall before we entered the arena. What was that about?"

The two looked at the creature chasing after the Greenette, the bluenette girl looked demoralized at the monstrous creature of flesh and metal, the pinkette however, seemed to be determined judging from her look.

Suddenly, a lash of dark blue ink streaked across in front of the creature as a dark figure landed in front of it, stopping as it turned towards the source of the shot. An hiss came from its throat as the creature glanced at the dark-skinned Inkling boy, it leapt at the boy as he dashed up to the tower as the creature followed up, climbing with the aid of its tentacles.

As it reached the top, the creature's tentacles struck out at the bluenette, however he dodged them and as sudden as it was strangely funny, the spiky-haired pinkette boy jumped into the fray, screaming a war cry. He swung with all his might and knocked the creature off of the tower, it landed with a loud metallic clang.

After that, it seemed to be a blur of Ink being slung at the creature as it fought back, grabbing onto the greenette and constricting her in its grip. However, the pinkette had managed to force the creature to lose her grip on the greenette and she dropped her onto the ground, afterward, it growled and retreated, leaping away.

In the distance, the group of four could hear its metallic feet loudly clank against the metal, glowing floor. Off on a rooftop stood the creature, up on its legs, it looked around the room before looking back at them. However, it didn't regard them with any sign of aggression or a signal before an attack. It just stared at them with its bright green eyes from the top of a tall overlook.

The damage it had sustained in the attack seemed to be superficial, with mainly armor pieces being broken off or missing entirely, revealing small amounts of the bruised, singed, and pinkish skin that was hidden by the metal, skeletal frame. Most blatant of which, was the head. The helmet that had previously encased it was gone now, and it showed the creature's face. It looked feminine, almost, the mouth was seemingly covered by a cluster of tendrils, most of which ended in raked barbs. It stared at them, unnerving the younger bluenette as he slowly edged backward.

Its eyes though, they seemed to go straight through them, piercing them as the older bluenette averted his gaze. The creature moved away, shifting back onto all fours, it walked out of their sight, clambering down onto the floor beneath the structure.

What to do?

Laura stared at the now empty space on top of the tower, dumbfounded by what she had just witnessed. The creature's horrifying and abhorrent appearance was just too much for her to handle, so she did her best to quickly get it out of mind and refocus on something else. Her attention moved to the group of inklings that were engaged with that thing earlier.

The three inklings had just fended off the creature in such an intense match. They all needed to group up, especially now if anyone had been injured as a result.

C'mon! she shouted encouragingly at Raye and the two brothers, as she beckoned them with a gesture to head over and meet up with the other group. She then quickly made her way over to where the battle had taken place.

Hey! Are all of you okay? she yelled out along the way.
