Zale looked throughout the room, viewing the various weapons around him. Familiar weapon styles like Rollers, Splatlings were on the tables, while there were Splattershots, Dualies, and Chargers were on the racks. They had familiar designs and their same was overall the same, but they were mainly black with silver highlights on them. He picked up a Dualie and held it in his hand, looking it for at least some familiarity to them. But it was just the same all around, and he put back the Dualie pistol.

He looked around some more, viewing the Splattershot and discovering it was exactly the same as the one he'd seen back in Inkopolis in the hands of veteran players who chose dark, 'edgy' outfits that weren't typically worn. An Octoshot, which was something familiar. Maybe it had the same kit as it had in Inkopolis.

The Chargers were much the same, looking just like the Octoshot he inspected before. The weapon's barrel was silver and the structuring of the gun was black, a dark-purple stripe made a circle around the barrel at the end of it. There wasn't much else to say about, other than the fact there was a scoped variant and a variant with a kelp decal on the side. Which he guessed must've been a stand-in for the Kelp Splattershot.

The Roller and the Splatlings were alike to the rest with their appearances, however, there was one weapon that stood out from the rest. The weapon was similar to a Splattershot, however it was much more utilitarian and menacing in appearance, the barrel stuck out like a sore thumb, almost as long as a Charger rifle's but wasn't. The rifle seemed to have a place for an attachment underneath the barrel, but it was left mysteriously empty. Zale had gotten the feeling that something was supposed to be there, but it was missing, and he couldn't find it throughout the room as he looked around for the underbarrel attachment.

Stranger still to him, was the lack of specials or sub weapons inside of the room.

What to do now?

As always, actions may be added upon request.

Upon their arrival in the new room, Raye looked first for her new friend, and upon seeing her, gave Laura an encouraging smile. From what she could see of the area before she was shoved, she thought it looked like one of the various arenas used for Turf Wars, and a horrible thought occurred to her. They want to see how we fight. What we're capable of. This IS preparation for an invasion! The Capt. Cuttlefish book was right! Raye thought to herself. While she didn't want to give the Octarians anything they could use for an invasion, she knew she was going to have to fight her way out at some point, so it was better to be armed. She began looking around for her preferred weapon, the Splattling.

Zale looked at the weapons that were there, picking up some and examining them. They all had familiar designs, but had a new coat of paint added to them. Though the lack of sub or special weapons caused him to hesitate for a moment.

I better pick a weapon that I can easily be as cheap as possible. The pinkette thought to himself. His eyes landed on a Carbon Roller Deco, and before he picked it up, he heard the dark-skinned blue Inkling shout at everyone to pick a weapon.

Gee, doesn't he know he isn't in the place to be giving orders? He thought scowling for a bit. Picking up the Carbon Roller Deco, he twirled it JRPG Hero style before holding it on his side and linking it to the OOPA inktank.

Raye looked over the table, viewing the many, many weapons and gear that lay out before her. It was dizzying with the amount of choice that she had, as there were multitudes of Splatling, and Roller variants, along with this strange, bulky new rifle on the tables around her. And there were more lighter Chargers that resembled Squiffers on the racks, Splattershot variants, and even more Chargers.

She was surprised with the amount of gear that was placed inside this one room, helmets, armors, weapons were scattered all around her. However, she noted that there was a lack of sub-items such as Splat and Suction bombs, Sprinklers or even a Disruptor. Another thing that was missing were Sloshers. Although, she looked at the Splatlings in particular.

The first one up was a Splatling that resembled the Heavy Splatling, however, this one had silver highlights unlike the orange highlights that were prevalent in the Heavy Splatlings back in Inkopolis. After she looked at that Splatling, she looked at a smaller, compact Splatling. An Octarian take on the Mini-Splatling lay on the tabletop. Finally, there was a Hydra-Splatling variant, it resembled the one she had seen back in Inkopolis, however she noted that the tri-barrel design was a lot more streamlined and cubical, it resembled an actual weapon instead of an impromptu fire hydrant gun.

What next?

@MacSmitty
Zale took the Carbon Roller Deco from the table, though it didn't look exactly like the Carbon Roller. He could feel that it was built the same way as he twirled it in the air before he took the cord from the OOPA and attached it to the Carbon Roller.

The OOPA hummed quietly as the Ink flowed into the Carbon Roller, soaking into it as the Roller turned pink. The Pinkette Inkling looked at the OOPA, spotting a display on it appear as it linked to the Carbon Roller. A meter appeared alongside a number and a percentage. Currently, he has 100% Ink stored.

A useful creation, even if it did seem snarky at times.

What now?

Raye was surprised at the variety of weapons that lay before her. After looking over the weapons, and noting the lack of secondary weapons, she decided upon the Mini Splattling, which looked the most familiar to her. After a few seconds, she decided to grab some armor as well.

Laura patted off her skirt as she looked around the room for Raye, spotting her just in time to see a smile of encouragement. She started to worry a bit about what she and her newfound friend will be facing when someone else shouted out in the room. Don't just stand there. Get over here and at least get some armor on! This stuff isn't lying here for no reason!

Geez, what a bossy jerk, Laura muttered under her breath. Doesn't speak properly either. A scowl of disgust and was on her face. Now harboring a sliver of resentment, Laura did not take kindly to to the boy.

But he was right. All of it was there for a reason, though nobody in the room knew; except maybe for that one girl who seemed to understand what was on the walls earlier…

Laura sighed and began to look around at the equipment. She didn't like it, but there was only one way to go from here.

That jerk still could have been nicer about it.

Raye took the Mini-Splatling off of the table. She took the tube and attached it to the OOPA, and the weapon spun slowly before stopping as it hummed quietly. Faintly, she could hear the Ink sloshing into the Splatling as the OOPA filled it with Ink.

"A Mini-Octo Splatling?" It asked her, "well, I guess there are worse options to choose from." The OOPA commented dryly, and she could see its little pink eye roll when she looked down to scowl at it.

What now?

@MacSmitty
As Zale had never seen an armor vest like this before, picking up the translucent black vest he looked it over. He was surprised at the weight of it, as the black vest was seemingly thin and lightweight, but in his hands it was heavy. He took off his coat for the moment and snugly slipped the thin vest around his body, putting his coat back.

It was comfortable, but he knew that he'd have to get used to the weight of it. Whatever it was.

What next?

@Ikaheishi
Laura gave a passing glance at the room around her, seeing that the huge array of gear that lay around her was up for grabs. It wasn't entirely meant for her though, as she had heard from the commanding boy, all this was meant for all of them. To her, the amount of choice was certainly a lot. Weapons of all kinds, all of them designed like the weapons back in Inkopolis, but with obvious Octarian looks on them; sleek, dark, and shiny.

The weapons themselves looked clean and well-maintained, perhaps the scientists were making sure they were in top order. As if they wanted to make sure that whatever they were looking for was good. However, there was one weapon that stuck out to her. A Splattershot, however, its barrel was elongated and the overall appearance was bulky but sleek, keeping up with the general appearance of the rest of the weapons.
When she picked it up to look at it, she felt as though something was missing in the gun. It was as though there was supposed to be something underneath the barrel, an attachment of some kind, but, whatever it was she didn't know because she didn't seem to be anything that could be put it on. Before she put it back down, she noted that there is a laser sight on it.

Now Laura's attention turned over to the various pieces of armor on the tables. Neatly folded in piles were black vests, alongside them were a few rows of helmets. She picked up a helmet, looking at its faceplate. The main part of the helmet was black, however, the grey faceplate stuck out a little as a camera in the center stared back at her.

Laura flipped it over in her hands and put it on, at first it was pitch black inside of it but as she was about to take it off, the camera became active. She saw a display appear in her vision, along with a dozen alerts on each person that she was in the room with. They had yellow outlines around them, and the ones that held weapons were highlighted orange. Along with a counter on the top right of her vision, counting eleven.

She took it off, and the display turned off after a simple goodbye.

Finally, she looked at the row of eyepieces and put one of them, it covered one of her eyes like a monocle or an eyepatch. Laura looked around in it, seeing that it was similar to the helmet from before. Except the eyepiece detected ranges and highlighted everyone that didn't have a weapon in their hands in green, those that did, had them in yellow.

The helmet and the eyepiece didn't seem to fit in with each other, and she put them both back in their places.

Now what?

(( Alright, yeah, I changed the helmet a little. Sue me. ))

Zale was astounded by the material of the armor, and how it felt. Taking off his Hero Replica Jacket to put the amor vest on, he did a few movements to try and get used to the weight for a moment before putting his Jacket back on.

Now all that's left is the door. The pinkette thought staring at the door with the "6" on it. Wasting no time he walked to the door, trying to mentally prepare himself for what might lie ahead.

Despite her OOPA's reaction, Raye noted that the weapon felt comfortable in her hands. She'd made her fair share of enemies cry using what many felt was a substandard weapon, and would likely do the same here. She shook it a few times, noting any possible weight changes, before looking back at the table. Realizing that armor would also be useful, Raye reached out to grab a set for herself.

Laura took a moment to think about the items before her.

She found both the similarities and differences of the splattershot facsimile worrying—after all, what was such a familiar weapon doing here? Then there was her specificity to her splattershot that she's always used… Would she reasonably be able wield the weapon before her?

Laura's attention switched to the armor. The vest and the helmet could provide some key protection from whatever she and the other may be soon facing, but Laura did not like the prospect of wearing something other than her favorite beanie.

She decided to take them and made her way to join up with and speak to Raye again. Laura had a feeling that teamwork would be paramount in the challenge that lay ahead of them, whatever it may be.

(( I'm assuming armor means both the vest and the helmet? ))
@Devack
Raye picked the armor up from the table, unfolding the weighty vest and releasing the clasps along the right part of it. She put it on over her shirt, and it felt really snug and comfortable even if she felt a bit top heavy as a result.

Next, she put the Mini-Splatling on the ground next to her, before picking up a helmet and a visor. Raye looked between them, before deciding that she'd rather take the helmet to provide some measure of defense. Besides, who knew how strong these weapons were? For all she knew, they would be just as prone to heavily injuring her or pittering off of her skin harmlessly. So she didn't want to take chances.

What next?

@Ikaheishi
Laura took the rifle off of the table and tested looking through the sights and aiming around the room. It felt okay in her hands as she tried it out, but whatever the underbarrel attachment was supposed to be had made her a little curious as what it could be.

She linked it to her OOPA through the cord at the bottom of it and the weapon hummed loudly before becoming quiet, a little purple light on the side turned on. For now though, Laura placed it on the table and got a vest, releasing the clasps. She put it on underneath her hoodie, noting that it was snug, comfortable even. Before that though, she took one of the helmets on the table and looked at it. Grudgingly, she took off her bobble hat and put on the helmet, placing the hat into her hoodie's pocket.

Talk to Raye?

Laura was a bit surprised at how comfortable the armored vest was. But the displeasure over not being able to wear her beloved bobble hat was burning inside her—slowly growing ever stronger—and becoming such a distraction that she started to completely forget about the reality of her situation. She felt almost naked without it; her head, just so barren. She was alone. She was hopeless. She was doomed to eternal misery.

Laura shook her head and did the best she could to snap herself out of it.

Having mostly grounded herself back to reality, she looked around for Raye again, and headed over to her once she thought she spotted her.

Hey, Laura started.

After he called out towards the people in the room with him, Hunter had seen that a few of them had given him looks. Perhaps it was obvious to them on what to do, and they didn't need guidance. It kind of made him feel a bit self-conscious when they did it, but still, it was a very valid suggestion.

He put on the black vest, releasing the clasps and putting it under his jacket. A snug fit, comfortable too, he glanced down at it before zipping up his jacket again. It felt as though it wasn't there. Next up, he put on the helmet. The display appeared as he looked around it, after he got his vision back, he linked the Kelp Splattershot to his OOPA. Although he couldn't tell it apart from the rest of the Splattershot-variants, as they all resembled Octoshots. It's just that it had decals of Kelp on the stock, along with a green stripe running down the pressure tank.

It made sense, to him at least.

Hunter swapped his attention to glance around him, finally taking notice at the group around him. They were definitely knowing of what to do, despite the fact that they eyed the equipment around them suspiciously but with curiosity. The others in there with him had some initiative on doing things. Although whatever was coming next will definitely be troublesome, as he didn't know what the scientists wanted with him. Judging by the equipment here, it definitely had something to do with combat.

But just what were they measuring it for..?

As he walked towards one of the doors labelled with a "6", Hunter noticed two girls, the bluette had lost her composure and was crying, the pinkette girl was trying to comfort them. He stared for a while as his pace slowed, but he shook his head and continued his way through the doorway.

He entered it, seeing a set of six panels that resembled the respawn pads back in Inkopolis. Where will that go? He thought, before his OOPA spoke up. "Please step onto the pads and wait for everyone else," it said. Hunter hesitantly listened to the small canister, slowly stepping onto the pad after a moment or two of thinking, seeing that it flashed blue before dimly glowing. He waited for the others, which had thankfully come soon after.

He looked at the pair that had walked in. Instead, he focused on the group of five. It was the pinkette boy and the greenette girl that walked in. The greenette looked around through that weird eyepiece with suspicion and fear on her face, before she slowly crept up to one of the pads, it started to glow green.

Soon after, two more followed. It was the pinkette girl and the bluette, having recovered from whatever caused her to break down. He didn't give them much thought as they stepped towards the respawn pads, but quietly he could hear metal clicking and going into place in their direction.

The bluette glanced at the pads, following her companion's actions, and walked onto one of her own. After a brief delay, the wall in front of them opened up and in just a few moments, the pads whirred louder and louder before they were launched into the arena they had seen before this.

As he flew, Hunter gave a passing look over the arena, up ahead, he saw the other group land up ahead, but as he looked at them, he saw that they had spread out over a wide range. Then he landed down in the arena, rolling to a stop. Hunter stood up from his crouched state, looking around him. It seemed he was alone behind a structure of some kind, at least for now.

What to do?

@MacSmitty
As Zale finished up searching for any more gear, he left towards one of the doors that was labelled with a six. Approaching it, he heard someone crying amidst the general chatter from the room. Slowly, they quieted as they all blatantly stared at the group. Quickly, Zale stepped out of the way into the doorway, hearing talking come from down the hallway.

Ignoring it, he glanced into the room again. At least until the greenette girl walked past him and said something, "come on, it's not polite to stare."
Zale quickly snapped out of it, realizing that what he was doing was somewhat indecent of him to do, and he followed the greenette down the hallway. They exited the short hallway into yet another room, although it was a bit darker and he saw that one of them was already there. Captain Obvious stood there on a glowing blue pad, he was waiting there.

"What's this?" The green Inkling whispered, looking around at the pads. She tentatively approached one of the pads, tapping it with her foot as though it were an Inkmine. Before she gingerly stepped onto it fully, and the pad flashed green and began glowing a gentle green. Zale followed her, standing on one of the pads. It flashed pink and dimly glowed.

Before long, he could hear something slamming shut in the hallway, as the two girls from before entered the room.

Zale flew through the air, catching a brief glimpse at the others that were with him back in the room, but he noticed that they were falling further away from him, and he landed on the ground with an "oomph!", rolling roughly across the digital-grid of a floor. Slowly, he stood up and looked around him, seeing that he seemed to be in what reminded him of one of the halfpipes in Blackbelly Skatepark.

Hunter will look around. the arena keeps his hands on his weapon. He was looking for the others but keeping his distance just in case. He did see that the pads didn't turn them all the same color so they could end up hurting each other. A voice encroaches the back of his head. "This a good chance to show where you stand!" He shakes his head. "No you do not control me!"

Action: Examine the arena, look out for anyone who was around just in case they end up shooting at him. or someone else.

Raye had just finished putting on her armor, thankful that it didn't pinch in any... interesting places, when she heard a voice behind her. Turning around, she noticed Laura.

"Hey, yourself. You okay?" she asked.

Laura let out a sigh of lament as she gripped her upper arm with the other hand and looked downward. “Not really…”
There was a brief pause before she spoke again. “I… I think I'll be alright.”

"Hey, you need to keep yourself together. Think of someone you're going to see when you get out of this." Raye said, putting her hand on Laura's shoulder in an attempt to brighten Laura's mood.

Laura paused for a moment, and thought of all of the friends she had just made in the past year… Dorni, Emily, Tako, and even the star ranked player Owen Page.
She sniffled a bit, and raised her head to look at Raye. “Thanks,” she said with a slight smile, even though Raye couldn't see it.
Laura suddenly lunged at Raye, giving her a strong hug.

Raye was initially taken aback at the suddeness of Laura's hug, but after a second or two, she returned it. "Feeling better?" Raye asked.

Laura was still sniffling. “Yeah.”
She could begin to feel herself tearing up.
Laura gripped even tighter.

Raye wasn't convinced that Laura was better just yet. "And until you can see that person again, we'll look out for each other. Just keep thinking 'I'm getting out of this in one piece,' and you'll find the strength to get through this."

Laura let go of Raye, took off the helmet—setting it aside—and wiped away the tears that were beginning to pour from her eyes.
Inadvertently, Laura had just revealed the glaringly garish gash upon the top of her head to Raye.
Though she failed to realize this in her emotional state.

She couldn't help it. Laura was still sobbing.

If Raye saw the scar, she didn't give any indication as she reached into a pocket for a cloth for Laura to use to dry her tears. "Hey..." she said in a calming voice. "I know that this is a bad situation, but we are going to get out of this. We have to." she finished, handing Laura the cloth.

Laura took the cloth and wiped her eyes with it, and then once again suddenly gripped Raye in a tight hug.
“Thanks.” she said.

Laura relaxed her grip and let Raye free. “So, um… Do you have any ideas what all of this is about yet?”
An expression of confusion and anguish was all that could be seen on her face.

"I have an idea. There's only one reason that comes to mind as to why they would kidnap Inklings and find out what they're capable of. " Raye said in a lower tone, so that only Laura could hear. "They may be planning an invasion of Inkopolis."

Laura's expression changed instantly. Her eyes were wide open in a dead stare at Raye, and her mouth and opened slightly. She was dumbfounded by the thought.
It took a moment before Laura responded.
“An invasion?” she said quietly. It was at this point that Laura realized that she had never caught on to who her captors were.
“Wait… B-but… who?”

"My OOPA called this place "a division of the Octarian Institute of Technology and Science" and that we were to "progress the sciences of the Octarians"." Raye said. "From that, it's pretty easy to guess who kidnapped us."

Laura took a sudden step backwards in a total shock reaction, tripping over herself and landing her rear end hard onto the floor. She appeared to be lost in a dazed state, the shock seemingly too much for her.

"Listen, you have to keep it together." Raye said. "Remember that book that came out not that long ago? The one about the Octarians who stole the Great Zapfish?"

Hearing Raye's voice somehow snapped Laura out of the trance. Her mind jumped back to just two years ago, when the Great Zapfish mysteriously disappeared, then to her grandmother's tales of her grandfather and great uncle's efforts in the Great Turf War, and finally what she was told of the Octarians in those stories as well.(edited)
Laura's mind began to race, reviewing what she knew, what she had experenced here sofar, and what Raye has just said.
Her eyes were so wide open, her facial expression seemed so unreal.
Laura's eyes would twitch every so often, as her mind jumped from one detail to the next.
Her OOPA had said the same thing too when she awoke. How her OOPA translated some Octarian writing for her. The bottle handed to Raye earlier was labeled in Octarian. The Octarian writing on the walls of the hallway.
And then there was the fact that the OOPA was physically attached to her the… way that it was. The giant robots. The Octarian style weaponry.
It all began to finally sink in.
Laura let out a loud scream. “NO! IT CAN'T BE!” After all, things had been peaceful ever since the Great Turf War… It was the war to end all wars. And that it did… didn't it?
Laura was breathing quickly and quite heavily.

Raye knelt down next to the now-panicking Inkling, realizing she may have said the wrong thing. "If that book was true, then a single Inkling stood against even the Octarian leader and won. If we're even half as good as that Hero was, then we'll get through this just fine." Raye said in an effort to calm Laura down.
At this point, Raye was the one to initiate the hug, trying to put into it the same warmth she had seen her friend Sil use whenever he needed to calm his little brother.

Laura latched onto Raye, clinging for the warmth that she emanated. Raye could sense the feeling of desparation from Laura.
Laura sniffled, trying to summon some strength. She thought of Emily, whom whilst was kind, had a sense of strength and perseverance that Laura admired.
“You're right,” Laura said softly before she let out a sigh. Raye felt her relax, the tension and desparation slowly melting away.
“I-I don't know of that book, but something about the whole idea reminds me of a friend of mine… Emily.”
Laura got up, and once again patted down her skirt brushing any dirt off of it.

Raye got up at this point as well. "So, what do you say we figure out a way out together?" She asked with a smile.

Laura clinched her hands into fists, raised them—pointed upward—in front of her face, and quicky thrust her elbows downward, ending with her in almost a boxer-like pose. The expression upon Laura's face was so different now; and her eyes were now so sharp with the look of determination.
“Yes! Let's do this!”

Seeing the change that came over the bluenette, Raye smiled as she picked up her helmet and put it back on.

Laura started to follow suit, when her eyes suddenly opened wide with shock. Her face turned red with a look of embarrassment.
She quickly grabbed her helmet and plunged it onto her head.

Beaming, Raye walked towards one of the doors as Laura followed her. However, as they passed through the threshold, the doorway closed loudly, dampening the mood that they had created. They wouldn't be deterred however, as the two continued through toward the end of the short hallway and exited into a large room, seeing some of the others, including the bossy bluenette boy. Laura saw they were standing on some kind of respawn pad, however, the colours were all wrong if they were on the same teams.

Laura gingerly walked towards one of the vacant pads, stepping onto it carefully. It simply flashed blue and starting glowing. Raye did the same, but a bit more confidently seeing that it was of no danger. At least until the wall in front of them opened up and in just a few moments, the pads whirred louder and louder before they were launched into the arena they had seen back in the overlook.

Raye tumbled through the air as the launch wasn't ideal nor was she given a heads-up, and the Mini-Octo Splatling was no help in that respect, as its weight made her uneven as she flew through the air. It was a disorienting fall, as she twirled and somersaulted through the air onto the glowing ground inside of the arena, getting up with a grumble. She looked around her, seeing that she landed in some hallway overlooking a seemingly bottomless pit, the only thing separating her from it was a thick layer of glass. It wasn't the best sight to see, especially after having landed near it.

Meanwhile, Laura's launch had been a little more graceful, and she landed with a roll before launching up onto her feet. She moved a bit, as she was a bit woozy after the roll. Laura glanced around her, sadly noting the disappearance of her new friend, and she saw that she landed inside of a half-cylinder of some kind. It reminded her of Blackbelly Skatepark, but it still had some differences.

What to do?

Hunter looked around him, seeing the plain metallic structure in front of him, he walked around it, seeing that there wasn't anyway inside of it. He didn't find anything interesting until he saw a drop down into a lower part of the arena, a ramp surrounded by two inflatable barriers, providing some directional defense against certain angles.

As he didn't want to sacrifice his high ground just yet, he looked away from that area and looked around his little terrace some more, seeing that there was another drop down from a hall of some kind. He could see a glass barrier of some kind over the edge as he looked up at it.

Then he heard a tentacle-raising howl echo throughout the arena, ending with a synthesized gravelly tone, followed by a loud mechanical clang. Whatever made that sound had made him worry just from hearing it.

What next?

Hunter looks around the arena the howling screech was from something that didn't sound too friendly. "Oh goody we have something to play with. i wonder if it BLEEDS!" Hunter shakes his head. He looks around trying to figure out what made that noise. He quickly moves from cover to cover as he searched.

Action: Move from cover to cover looking for what made that noise.

As Zale was sent flying through the air, he let out a sound that sounded similar to the Goofy Holler before crashing into the ground. Upon landing, he rose to his feet, grabbing his weapon. Feeling himself for any scrapes, he felt minimal pain, due to the way he landed.

"Guess this armor actually helps." He commented, patting his chest. "Even if it does slow me down a bit."

Looking around the pinkette noticed that he was in a digital grid that resembled Blackbelly Skatepark, and Zale noted that he was on the half-pipes of the arena.

"
OK... whoever designed this place must a huge fan of Tron." Zale commented messing with his spikey hair. "And if I'm here, then this must be the side of this arena."

On his way falling down, Zale saw the others land in different locations. Maybe once they regroup they can find out once in store for them in this.

Alright guys, here I come. And with that, the spikey haired pinkette began to look for the others.
@Rustic (I'm so sorry man.)

(( Tis good. ))
As Zale walked around his landing site, looking for a vantage point of any kind. He had discovered that the location was similar to the Turf War Stage variant of Blackbelly, and he shot a path up to the top of the grating above the halfpipe and squidded up onto it. As he turned back into his humanoid form, he looked around the spot, walking up and down it as he investigated his surroundings.

Eventually, he saw that there was a large, dark-green patch of Ink on the ground not too far away from his landing. It seemed that whoever this was had made good use of their time as they covered most of the 'skatepark', at least this side anyway. Zale didn't see the presence of the person who inked the place though, which made him think that they must have covered it as they went.

He hopped down onto the halfpipe as the ground glowed dimly. However, a piercing, metallic screech echoed through the arena, followed by a loud mechanical clang. A fair distance away, he could hear rapid clanking as something moved around, and again, it was followed by a loud clang. Then it stopped, and he could hear something quietly hissing.

What next?
