Guess there are 4 now...

Though in all honesty this weapon is pretty good
It has a quick kill wirh direct and the aoe of the second blast makes it very easy to get follow ups.
(Tbh it feels like people just forgot this weapon and how good it can be)
However it's special is great doesn't take long to charge and is very effective at keeping enemies at bay and holding an objective.

Then there is the inkmine again like the rapid this is a weapon with the ability to act on their mines, though it does lose the ability to sub strafe.
But the cost scaring player with an indirect into the mine makes up for it most times.

Also good news for everyone interested it was confirmed that a smash bros game is coming out for the Switch. It should be annouced either at E3 or in a direct leading up to it

your personal experience with the weapon does not make the weapon itself any better

This gun is so much fun...unless you have no map control. It’s so hard to find a way in when the map isn’t your ink. I really missed bombs on this.

Did do this in a game a lost badly, though.

And this with the bomb rush, which was fun.

Just wish it had lethal bombs to help paint.

Never said it was great only good

I know it isn't, the weapon itself isn't that great it lacks coverage, sub strafing, and has terrible range in comparison to other weapons in the mid range meta.
But I will say that it does have potential many other weapons I have come across don't even have that.
For example the gloogas, the tenta brella pre patch

I am mearly showing this weapon can do well and analyzing what i did in order to do well with it.

Plus like spaceswitchmars said this weapon is simply fun to play with and I take that over a splattershot anyday

Luna got nerfed pretty badly from S1 to S2, having much less ink efficiency and the wider blast radius got flat-out removed making it just a worse blaster this time around. The only thing it has over the regular blaster is a slightly faster firing rate and that's about it.
I think you guys are forgetting about splat 1 quick respawn/stealth jump. Just because that was the main strategy behind the Luna blaster.

Make aggressive plays, if you get a kill, good. If you traded, no big deal, you'll be back in no time. And the Luna blaster did a phenomenal job making sure it at least traded with someone up close. Which is why the quick respawn nerfs hit it so hard.

Apart from the nerfs previously mentioned, main consumption, and the explosion radius reduction, there's a nerf that pretty much only blaster mains know about and I curse the dev who made this reality

I'm talking about jump rng. Basically back in S1, the Apex of a jump for all blasters gave you dead on accuracy. Which a lot of players ingrained in their minds as muscle memory (including myself). As blasters used this strategy to avoid being slow moving bait on the ground. But now in S2, you need to be on the ground to aim properly.

This is bad for the Luna since it can't engage safely without range and it doesn't want to be slow while firing either. So it can't just stay on the ground all the time to hunt opponents.

Even though the vanilla blaster has this problem as well, it has a panic button and more range to work with. Allowing for easier kills against the short/mid-range meta. The only thing the Luna has over the vanilla blaster now is it's fire rate, not even mobility. The range on the vanilla blaster makes this trade more than worth it anyway.

Making the Luna a worse vanilla blaster at the moment. But I doubt this will last much longer. Hopefully the next patch nerfs the vanilla blaster so the Luna can be noticed again. Just because it's been a very underrated weapon in this game.

I'm convinced the next Super Smash Brothers game is "confirmed" every day from some new questionable source. Hey, look, a new Smash is coming. Someday. It's just, these things, they take time.

Most times I agree, but there are 2 acrual creditable sources for this leak
1. Bayo 2 has a secret message hinting at the fight club she got into and how 1 of the characters is interested in seeing her reaturn.

2. Emily Rodgers the person who predict the switch, it's opening lineup, and the labo, has gone on record saying that although she doesn't know if it is a deluxe edition or a full sequel there is a smash bros game coming by E3.
This also makes alot of sense since I have heard from multiple confirmed sources that nintendo has scheduled a lot more time for their presentation.

Honestly, it's a pretty safe 'prediction', and I believe she is wrong often enough as well. Smash 5/Smash 4 Switch rumors have been popping up the day the Switch was announced.

As for that Bayo 2 easter egg. It's a Smash reference. But that doesn't mean it points towards a new Smash game, it refers to her being in an already existing Smash game.

Bro that's not confirmation, 1 is just a reference and 2 is a vague and thus meaningless rumor. =/

At this point I feel Smash For Switch is such a safe bet anyone can say "It's coming" and then attempt to claim to be a credible source. Remember, the same people saying Smash For Switch is coming this year is the same people who said it was coming last year. Also, to bring things a bit back to topic, don't forget the countless rumors that Splatoon 2 was just going to be a port. God, I remember one rumor really making the rounds was that the game would feature weapon-switching on the fly, and be called "Splatoon Switch!". Another stated playable octolings were a big feature. Don't believe everything you hear on the internet, squiddos.

Yeah, the past few weeks have been really heavy with the Smash and Pokémon rumors!

Don't know much about Smash or Pokémon, but I remember the Splatoon on Switch speculation for some reason. =p

Heh, on-the-fly weapon swapping and playable octolings? I shall forever use the following image until the latter is a reality:

Regarding hopes and dreams of Octolings, we do have one grain of hope: The odd omission of Octo gear not being wearable. I still find it odd we don't have any of the Octo gear. So...future event and big update...maybe? Hopefully?

Okay I'd like a throughout explanation on what just happened here
That carbon didn't even have it's special ready, nor does the carbon or any of the enemy weapons have inkjet as part of their sets

Unless it's some kind of special mode, which at this point is not going to be made for Splatoon 2 anymore, Octolings are never going to be playable. It's Splatoon's equivalent of playable Ridley.

My playable octoling discussion senses are tingling!

Unlikely =[ More likely the octo gear is what we unlock with the marina amiibo.
Maybe that’ll be a feature post-paid online to keep people playing the game.
Please no.
It already sucks enough **** ******* ******** ***** that I have to quit in September.
"You don't want to pay for the service you've been getting for free up until now? Cool, we'll just give everyone ELSE the thing you've wanted the most in your favorite game for 3 whole years. Sucks to be you, @$$hole!"

Not really. While both ocotlings(for the most part) and Ridley are both bad guys in their respective games, inklings and octolings are much more comparable to each other than Samus Aran and a giagantic-space-dragon-with-a-sick-mecha-form-theme-song are.

That being said, I agree. Octolings will never be playable.

Marina is nobody’s enemy.
