I have a buddy who plays undercover sometimes with me, and he uses it to distract other players/block for me while I blast away with a blaster, and it's really great for that. I'd argue it's better than the splat brella or tenta brella at that just because it's faster and it can shoot while blocking. That makes a big difference.

Even that said, he doesn't get 20 splats with it ever... Niceee.

Chicken vs. Egg definitely looks like a theme chosen by Japanese failing to understand the West. In principle it looks like a funny, ridiculous question that has no right answer. In practice it's straight up evolution vs. creation. They shouldn't have touched that.

I really don't think most westerners interpret it as a question of creation vs. evolution, most people think its a fun thought experiment that is not meant to have a literal answer.

What's there to compare it to though? Even if you're very good at the game and get a lot of kills with a mediocre weapon like the Tenta Brella, you will likely get even more with something universally agreed to be better.

And re: the tenta brella thing, I don’t mean for this to sound like a weird backhanded compliment or something, but you can be good at using an objectively subpar weapon. That’s something to take pride in but it doesn’t make the weapon any better. I love using stuff like inkbrush and I think I’m pretty good at it, but... It’s not exactly competitively viable haha
