Infestation in Inkopolis! IC

(I guess I should double post again.)

The Inkling teammate encounters the L-3 Nozzlenose user, after some ink shot back and fourth, the Tri-Slosher comes out on top.

Meanwhile Coral goes around, turning into his octopus form and jumping over the right gap, he immediately battles the enemy Blaster user.

Another confrontation happens between Kelp and the enemy Slosher before she could attempt to walk over the grate suspended above the left gap.

Hope throws a Splat Bomb to try and splat one of the opposing team's members. They'll respawn, but it gives her team more inked turf overall. "おでまし!" [Appear!] she says as she throws it, chuckling when it explodes.

Coral notices that the Sorella Brella was splatted, a boost in confidence allowed him to splat his Blaster opponent. Forcing him to respawn.

"Yes!" Coral exclaims as he continues to cover the ground with ink.

Hope attemps to splat the L-3 Nozzlenose opponent, but she doesn't have enough ink in her Ink Tank after throwing the Splat Bomb. She shifts into her octopus forme, refilling the ink just enough for her to fire on the Nozzlenose opponent.

"Thanks for the help!" The Tri-Slosher uses a perfect opportunity to splat the Nozzlenose L-3 while thanking Hope.

After a long confrontation, Kelp finally splats the enemy Slosher with a good strike from her Carbon Roller.

"That was tough, but I managed to splat her!" Kelp celebrates briefly before covering more ground.

After letting the Tri-Slosher user know that she's glad to have helped someone today, Hope goes back to inking as much turf as possible. She refills her ink enough to throw another Splat Bomb and ink a bit more. "おでまし!" [Appear!] she says as she throws the Splat Bomb. Being the mischievous Octoling that she is, she chuckles a bit after it explodes.

Coral's team has the advantage, but it isn't long before the opposing team come back for a counter-attack after they all have respawned. The timer is now at 1:30.

Hope is a bit worried about this, but she steeles her courage. She shifts to her octopus forme and fully refills her ink this time. Afterwards, she shifts back to her humanoid forme and fires her ink at one of the enemy team's members.

The other team starts inking turf back, making a comeback. Coral starts worrying that a loss would make Hope's confidence fade, especially when he sees Kelp getting splatted on the left side.

"We can still do this!" Coral yells out to bring encouragement to the rest of the team.

Hope inks some more turf, shifts to her octopus forme to refill her ink, then shifts back and throws another Splat Bomb. "おでまし!" [Appear!] she says. It seems that her speaking while throwing the Bomb is always going to happen. It's like a habit.

The battle is now only 30 seconds away of being over, the intensity of the match between both teams being obvious to both the participants and the audience.

Kelp goes over to splat the Blaster going after her Tri-Slosher teammate, while Coral has just splatted the L3-Nozzlenose user.

"もっと！もっと!" [More! More!] Hope exclaims to try and motivate her team to push through. She refills her ink again, then moves forward and fires more ink around the stage, then fires the rest of it at the Sorella Brella opponent.

The battle is over and the cats, who are Judd and Lil' Judd tally up the scores of how much ink each team covered the ground with.

"Come on, this effort has to be worth it!" Coral says in anticipation.

The results are in: Coral's team wins this Turf War match, earning Coral and Kelp more cash to donate to the neighborhood while Hope is also given more cash for the victory.

Hope decides to give the money to Coral and Kelp. "コーラ、ケルパ。あなたのお金," [Cora, Kelpa. Money yours,] she says, as they need the money more than she does.

"No, you should keep it, we already earned some in a previous match as well as a Grizzco shift before we met you." Coral gives Hope her money back.

"You have earned it, you should keep it." Kelp agrees, "Besides, it's likely that we won't buy any weapons anytime soon."

"Plus, we would feel really guilty to take money from you." Coral adds.

Hope is a bit confused, but takes the money anyway. Don't they need the money for the neighborhood? It's not really a huge deal, but she could at least give them some of her earnings... right?
