Infestation in Inkopolis! IC

"何がても、願い助け望む!" [No matter what, Wish help Hope!] Wish says, calming down enough to do so. He charges up a Shadow Ball, ready to help Hope conquer her fears.

"Then let's head to our neighborhood and hook ourselves up to that machine. We will help Hope too." Coral offers.

Coral and Kelp start heading back to the neighborhood so they can help Hope get over her fears.

Wish follows Coral and Kelp, wanting to help as much as he can. He doesn't know what to expect, but he's ready!

Once in the neighborhood, Coral and Kelp go to the medical bay area where the area has said machine.

"Now remember, Hope will be temporarily alone as she will need to be the first one to enter the dream. Once she's there, we will need to go to sleep as soon as possible for us to be transported into her dream." Coral explains.

"Don't worry, they have their ways to make you feel really sleepy." Kelp points out.

Once they get there, Coral and Kelp go to the machine with beds that hook up to it.

Hope takes control and goes to the machine, a bit confused. She gets in one of the beds that hook up to it, and when her head touches the pillow, she's out like a light. It seems that her body really needs the rest.

The machine's screen shows what is like inside Hope's nightmare. Coral and Kelp each go to a bed.

"Do you have that tea that makes people sleepy?" Coral asks a Tentakook who oversees the dream.

"We do." the Tentakook replies.

"I would like one for me and one for Kelp." Coral requests.

After the Tentakook brought the tea to Coral and Kelp, the two Octolings drank it and promptly fell asleep right after finishing.

Hope's nightmare seems to be like it did when she first had it: Sanitized Octarians take her from Inkopolis Square and bring her to the blender in the Metro, as well as destroy the voice box and her weapon so she can't call for help or try and escape. They do so, forcing her into the blender against her will. She calls for help, but nobody comes. She bangs on the glass in an attempt to break it, but it doesn't break, no matter how hard she tries.

Coral and Kelp land right into the Deep Sea Metro, only to be greeted by a horrifying sight, Hope stuck in a blender.

"Hey you jerks, let her go, or else!" Coral warns the Sanitized Octarians demandingly.

"And we will not take no for an answer." Kelp adds.

Hope seems glad that Coral and Kelp came to help. The Sanitized Octarians open fire at the two, with Sanitized Octolings firing, as well. Fortunately, the blender doesn't start.

 

[Cephalobro]

Coral brings out his Octo Shot and begins firing back at the enemies, he does a horizontal superjump from time to time, intending to slam into rows of Sanitized Octarians.

Kelp brings out her Carbon Roller, slamming it down on the coming Sanitized Octolings.

"Hope, you need to believe that you can escape that blender! We are in your dream world after all! Once you truly believe it, you can escape the blender!" Coral tries to talk to Hope.

Hope thinks about it for a bit, remembering what got her this far: her friends! "望むは消えない！みんなと一緒に!" [Hope no disappear! Be with everyone!] she screams, mustering up the strength to break free. As a result, she Super Jumps to Coral and Kelp. She broke free of her confinement, as she's finally able to Super Jump, at least in this dream.

 

[Cephalobro]

"You did it! Now let's beat these Sanitized Octarians so they finally can leave you alone." Coral says to Hope before splatting more Sanitized Octarians coming his way.

"Once we defeat these Sanitized Octarians, you won't have to worry about them coming for you anymore, whether awake or asleep." Kelp adds while splatting more Sanitized Octarians.

Wish takes control, firing multiple Shadow Balls and Dark Pulses at the Sanitized Octarians, splatting a few of them. A Sanitized Octosniper snipes Wish, and a Sanitized Octocommander opens fire.

Coral sees this happen and immediately goes after the Sanitized Octocommander while Kelp goes after the Sanitized Octosniper.

"Oh no, you don't!" Coral yells at the enemy he's going after.

Wish manages to get up and fire another Dark Pulse at the other Sanitized Octarians, collapsing from his injuries shortly after.

After Kelp splats the Sanitized Octosniper, she notices Wish collapsing to the ground and rushes over to him.

"You can do this, you can continue to fight." Kelp says, hugging Wish. "You can imagine yourself with unlimited power, you are in Hope's dreamworld too, so you have some control."

Coral manages to splat the Sanitized Octocommander, then resumes attacking other Sanitized Octarians.

"I will never let you take Hope!" Coral yells at his enemies as he keeps fighting them.

After thinking over whether he wants to show them or not, Wish turns into his true form, a mysterious creature known as a Hoopa. (specifically, Unbound forme) He fires multiple Shadow Balls towards the remaining Sanitized Octarians and Sanitized Octolings. Then, he fires one big Dark Pulse towards them.

(Yep, one of my interests is front and center...)

Kelp gasps in surprise at what she has seen, but then realizes that anything is possible in a dream world. After seeing a Hoopa Unbound attack the Sanitized Octarians, Coral is convinced that he shouldn't just stick to what he usually does.

"Time to take on these Sanitized Octarians up close!" Coral says as his Octo Shot suddenly turns into a sword whose blade is made of ink. Now he slashes at the Sanitized Octarians, splatting a few more of them.

Kelp becomes a fairy, now using magical ink to attack the Sanitized Octarians.
