the cycle of this thread is simple. actual conversation, interspersed with irrelevant posts. then, “this post is gonna be the one that wins.” then, “nuh uh.” and repeat

I think we're running out of actual conversation. There really isn't much to discuss, unless you guys want to pitch some ideas for third kits.
Which does remind me I need to continue that thread series eventually.

I have an idea Aero with inkjet.

This fits with bronze aerospray identity of being the aggro cousin of the aerosprays it's a skill expressive special with a good amount of counter play which means that players got to learn how to use jet to get the best results and it wouldn't be to annoying to fight against. Lastly it has the benefit of supporting its team via combo damage with both burst and jet. The only problem I can really see is that it outclass nova, but every jet weapon outclass nova. So what's one more? Although there are way better weapons that deserve burst and jet in my opinion.

Counterpoint: No...

...va is the only paint support Inkjet weapon. Nova is also far better than Aerospray in terms of main weapon design. We should not be getting rid of the weapon's only possible niche in favor of giving a poorly designed paint bot main weapon a kit that requires skill to use.

If you really want to give Aerospray a special with high skill expression, give it Ink Vac. That way it doesn't step on the toes of any other weapons and also won't be anywhere near viable enough to be seen in competitive play, but remains fun for solo queue Aerospray users.

Ink vac? High skill expression?
You're seriously comparing it to inkjet here. What skill expression do you even see?

Positioning, team coordination, long-range skill shot.

To be fair, the special isn't exactly the best at encouraging these currently. But the only other alternatives for skill expression specials are Crab Tank, which is already on three shooters, Zipcaster, which Aerospray would only ever use to paint behind enemy lines, and Kraken Royale, which people have already expressed disinterest in.

Am I forgetting one?

The first two generally aren't referred to as skill expression, and the third is slow with lots of time to aim and a giant explosion.

I wasn't saying there was a better option. I really couldn't care less what kit Aerospray has.

Anyway I think Ink Vac would be good for a third Aerospray kit. If not Super Chump. Burst Bomb and its inherently higher spread would give it a different playstyle than Red N-ZAP, and no short-range weapon has Ink Vac.

That reminds me, I do need to write that "Ink Vac is the successor to Sting Ray" conspiracy theory soon.

How many times have you ended a post here with "i should write this thread soon"? It's getting repetitive.

It helps build suspense, pique curiosity, and ultimately get me more views. At least, that's what I tell myself.
Tell me you're not curious.

Of the topics you write threads about, it's definitely on the side I'm less curious about. I'll still read it because it'll probably be interesting, but I wouldn't particularly care if you never got to it.
What it does do is get me to subconsciously (or consciously) think about the topic before the thread is actually posted, which lets me more thoughtfully respond if I feel like it.
